AMMA Therapy

is a highly refined and complex system of bodywork Therapy. AMMA utilizes techniques and treatment strategies that combine the use of traditional Oriental medical practices (for the assessment and evaluation of general imbalances in the energetic system) with a western approach to organ dysfunctions. AMMA Therapy restores, promotes and maintains optimum health through the treatment of the physical body, the bio-energy and the emotions, which reflect and are bound into the neuromuscular system. As a result, AMMA Therapy also indirectly frees the mind and thus over time, the spirit.

Bowen Technique

Bowen Technique, a proprietary protocol for soft tissue manipulation, was originally developed in Australia in the 1950s by Tom Bowen. Bowen uses gentle touch to rebalance and re-pattern the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the autonomic nervous system which is responsible for involuntary operations of the body such as cardiac function, digestion and motor skills. Because it is gentle and noninvasive, the Bowen Technique is appropriate for people of all ages and all health levels from the highly trained athlete to newborns, pregnant women, the elderly and the chronically ill and is extremely effective for treating pain and releasing stress.

What a session is like:

Bowen is noninvasive and may be performed through light clothing.

The procedure consists of precise gentle moves on specific tendons or muscles, vibrationally signaling the brain and body to stimulate the healing and restoration process.

Resting quietly for a minimum of two minutes between sets of movements gives your system time to process and incorporate the new information.

Deep relaxation and subtle sensations may occur as energy blockages are released.

Changes may be immediate or may occur more gradually over the following days or weeks.

In response to the relaxing nature of Bowen Therapy, clients often fall asleep during a session.
